"I often get the question, "How are you doing this?" We can do this because of our process to onboard, communicate, and leverage the capabilities of our partners. Not all our customers realize that Xometry employees have hundreds of years of combined manufacturing experience. We have years of experience in injection molding, CNC, etc., and a system to ensure we are matching each customer’s requirements with the skills of our network."

Learn About Melissa

My role at Xometry is to help our largest customer companies bring their biggest ideas to life. I support the enterprise side of the business and lead our enterprise account management team. We're constantly changing and adding new services. Educating our customers about all of our capabilities is a large part of our role. I also manage enterprise development managers, who work more closely with enterprise-sized companies -- some among the largest in the world -- to become aligned on their needs.

Manufacturing Opportunities Keep Growing

Early on in my career, I got the bug for sales. I worked at a company called DigiKey Corporation, where I worked with electrical engineers. Then I moved into manufacturing sales, working with mechanical engineers. A lot of sales translates from industry to industry, but there's always something to learn. I'm still learning about manufacturing every day, and we have so many people at Xometry who support the sales organization: technical sales engineers, pre-sales engineers, etc. I'm addicted to learning about manufacturing and how it helps parts come to life.

At some points in my career, I felt that there was only so much that I could sell. At Xometry, the opportunities are endless. We are listening to our customers and searching for solutions for them. What is valuable to our customers is our ability to be agile and offer several different solutions they can pick from, i.e. parallel path from one part of their product lifecycle to another. We can be the solution for both their prototyping and production business.

Leverage Our Quality Management System to Help You Scale

We want customers to understand that we have a quality management system. I often get the question, "How are you doing this?" We can do this because of our process for onboarding, communicating, and leveraging the capabilities of our partners. Not all our customers realize that Xometry employees have hundreds of years of combined manufacturing experience. We have years of experience in injection molding, CNC, etc., and a system to ensure that we are matching each customer’s requirements with the skills of our network. We have a whole program management team that can handle multi-year production opportunities. With all this said, the beauty of Xometry is endless.
